Race for the Cure - October 11th

Race for the Cure was this morning! We met up with a few girls from my mom's work. I was going to try to run the whole thing, but it was so crowded that we could barely even walk fast. Eventually we were able to jog a tiny bit, but it was still difficult with so many people {11,000!} and my mom had to use the restroom the whole time really bad. {Sorry for just disclosing that to the whole bloggy world, mom.} But it was fun and really inspiring to see some of the cancer survivors. After the racing part, we didn't stay for the awards and celebrations {since obviously we didn't get any} because my mom had to use the potty and by this point I was starving.

They did have some neat free stuff sitting out though, like apples and bananas {which were gone by the time I saw them} and hats and scarves...and everything was PiNK! {except the fruit...}

Anyway... as Meredith pointed out to me on our run the other day, I haven't blogged much this week. I know...totally un-like me, right? I was kinda sick, not with a virus or anything I don't think, just a bunch of random ailments and feeling a little off. Thus, the lack of blog material. I suppose I am feeling better now, but still kinda out of it. After the race today I came home and meant to sleep for 30 minutes, ended up sleeping for almost 3 hours...goodness! I guess when you share your bed with an 80-pound border collie, you don't sleep very well!

We are dog-sitting Pete this week... and he has set up camp in my bed. Which is fine, but he is noticably a lot larger than Tobey! He also doesn't understand sharing the bed...he basically likes to sleep right on top of you! Dan is actually home now and could come pick him up... but so far he hasn't shown up. He said we can just keep Pete. I am happy with this, my mom is not. She hates that he sheds so much!

He's the sweetest dog ever! But he's so shy. He pretty much stays behind the couch unless it's time to go outside, eat, or go to bed.

Anyway... that's pretty much all I've been doing all week. From here on out though, October is pretty busy, so I should have more interesting posts to share soon!
